A behavioral health clinic for active duty military personnel will soon be opening in West Carthage.

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is contracting with Fort Drum to open the facility this spring in the former Family Practice Associates office located in the Franklin Place Medical Building.

Spectrum will utilize 3,335 square feet of the building to operate a satellite behavioral health clinic

Spectrum, the government staffing division of TeamHealth, was established in 1988 and is a leading organization in providing physician and clinical staffing and management services to U.S. military treatment facilities, Veteran Affairs clinics and other federal agencies throughout the
country.

"Fort Drum has an active duty population of roughly 19,600 and an additional 19,800 military family members living on post or in the surrounding communities," said Michael E. Lundy, Northern Developers, LLC in a news release. "We are very pleased to see this space being used as the new home of a much needed medical/clinical facility for our military population."

"This new company contract and leasing arrangement reaffirms the community's support of Fort Drum," said Kent Burto, Northern Developers,
LLC in a news release. "Spectrum Healthcare Resources and its team of professionals will be an asset to the West Carthage and surrounding communities by bringing jobs to the area and providing services to our Fort Drum neighbors."
