Motocycle Ride Honors Fallen Fort Drum Soldier

Tools

It's an 8,000 mile motorcycle ride, all in the memory of a fallen Fort Drum soldier.

Don Blanchard and his friend Bruce Stanley are hitting all four corners of the United States in just under two months.

They arrived at Fort Drum Sunday and will stay through Tuesday.

They're riding in honor of Blanchard's son, Aaron.

Aaron was a Fort Drum soldier who died in Afghanistan in April.

The trip has been in the making for a while, but Aaron is the reason that Blanchard finally pulled the trigger.

Blanchard and Stanley are riding to raise money for four charities including the USO and the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
