Multi-Purpose Building Near JCC Is 'Public Eye' Topic

Private investors are showing interest in building a new multi-purpose building near Jefferson Community College (JCC).

While the plan is in its very early stages, the man behind the idea says the multi-use building would offer a multitude of answers for the north country.

Dan Villa, president of JCC's board of trustees, discusses his vision on Friday night's edition of Public Eye.

Villa says the building could seat 7,000 people for concert and be used for hockey and other sporting events.

Villa says he's halfway to the $40,000 needed for a feasibility study.

Jefferson County will talk about pitching in $10,000 at a meeting Tuesday.

Public Eye airs at 8:30 p.m. Friday on WPBS. Click on the picture for a full preview.
