Municipal Water Coming Soon To Business

A municipal water supply will soon be flowing to the Snack Shack on Route 12F in the town of Watertown.

The family center is installing a new water line to meet state regulations.

The hookup will connect the building to a municipal water line, which runs along the road.

It's a move that will keep the center open.

"I'm sure the parents are going to feel more comfortable and that's the key thing," said owner Floyd Roberts.

The waterline will be installed in the next week or two.

Over the summer, the New York State Department of Health told Roberts he needed to use municipal water instead of using well water at his business.

He was also trucking in water from the Dexter Department of Public Works for his inflatable water slides.
