Murder Victim's Mother Speaks Out

Accused murderer Dustin Trimm is being held in the St. Lawrence County Jail without bail...at least for now.

The mother of his alleged victim says he should stay there for good.

After Trimm was arrested on new, unrelated charges earlier this week, the court ordered him to be held in jail pending a decision Wednesday whether his bail should be revoked. (Click here to read our earlier story)

Trimm, who is facing a 2nd degree murder charge for allegedly shooting Jason wing to death and burying his body in 2010, is now also charged with patronizing a prostitute and endangering the welfare of a child.

He is accused of offering a 16 year old boy money to perform a sexual act in May - about a month after he was freed on $250,000 bail on the murder charge.

"If (Judge) Jerome Richards would have listened to us in the first place, and know what he's capable of, he should have never got out, and this wouldn't have happened to another child," said Jason Wing's mother, Roxanne Stratton.

"At least he's safe now. My son's dead," she added.

Stratton says she plans to be in court Wednesday morning when the judge makes his decision about whether to release Trimm again.

She says the very idea is unthinkable.
