Music Students To Perform At Lincoln Center

Adam Emery and Anissa Tazari have been preparing their vocal chords for what may well be the performance of a lifetime.
 
"It's just great to be able to sing with people who have the same passion as you," said  Tazari.

The two SUNY Potsdam music education voice majors are among nearly 300 Crane School of Music students who will performing on one of the world's greatest music stages - Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall.
 
"It's mind-blowing to know that I can be part of that," said Emery.
 
Members of the Crane Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will be making their Lincoln Center Debut with Verdi's 90 minute long "Messa Da Requiem".

Under the baton of visiting guest conductor Anne Howard Jones and with the help of four professional vocalists, the students are anxious to take the renowned music hall stage.
 
"It's really a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," said Cameron Brownell.
 
The last time a group of Crane School of Music students performed in Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center was back in the 1980's.

SUNY Potsdam President Dr. John Schwaller, a baritone singer, also plans to take the stage with the Crane students for Tuesday's performance at 7:30 p.m.
