Must See: In Croghan, A 4th Generation Of Bologna Makers
We note an anniversary this year, the 125th anniversary of the opening of the Croghan Meat Market.
Of course, the Meat Market has an outsized role in the history of north country food, because it's the home of Croghan Bologna, the tasty, ring shaped bologna that - along with cheese and crackers - is a staple of get togethers.
The store has been in the same family's hands for about a hundred years, and is now being run by Blaine Campany, the fourth generation, along with her father.
"It's in my blood, I guess. I'm a really good bologna maker, a natural," she told 7 News reporter Asa Stackel.
