Alleged Stalker With BB Gun Prompts School LockdownState police say a man who entered the Norwood-Norfolk Central School and triggered a lockdown was armed with a concealed BB gun and was stalking a school employee. According to state police, 60 year old Steven Wells of Norfolk, was attempting to drop off a package to a teacher at the school.
According to police, the investigation revealed Wells arrived at the school asking to see a staff member to leave her a package. The staff member Wells was attempting to see was interviewed. According to police, she said Wells had been engaging in stalking and harassment type behavior against her for the past several days. Wells was arraigned in Norfolk Town Court and remanded to the Saint Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond. An order of protection was issued against Wells. |
