New Hospice Facility Finally Okayed to Open

The State Department of Health has given the green light for the new hospice residential facility in Watertown to finally open.

Eight months after the ribbon was cut on the $4.5 million Gotham Street complex, the state has given the final go-ahead for it to take its first patients.

There were minor safety and architectural issues that had to be cleared up before it was okayed.

Now, Hospice of Jefferson County can begin accepting patients into the eight-bed facility next week.
