New Miss TI Crowned

A new Miss Thousand Islands was crowned over the weekend.
 
Twenty-two year old Lonna McCary of Buffalo was crowned at the scholarship pageant held in Clayton Saturday night.

The graduate student at Hilbert College will receive a $1,000 scholarship and a trip to compete in the Miss New York 2013 pageant next summer.

If she wins there, she'll go on to take part in the Miss America pageant.

Another $2,000 in scholarships were awarded to the other contestants who didn't take home the top prize.
