New Murder Mystery Novel Set in North CountryPicture this: A murder mystery paperback about a young TV reporter and a veteran police officer racing to solve a crime. Sounds like a decent plot, right? Now imagine it set in the North Country. That's the gist of North Country author Ann Colby's first novel, called "Cross Town Murders". Colby, a history teacher and soccer coach at Belleville-Henderson High School, just published the book, which is set in places like Watertown and Henderson. In it, characters Greta Murphy and Mac O'Brien go all over the North country trying to solve the crime. "I love this area and I've always wanted to write a book, and they (the characters) talked to me, so I finally just sat down and said, 'Here we go,'" Colby explained. "Cross Town Murders" is available now on Amazon.com and at Barnes and Noble. It costs $26.95 for a traditional print copy and $3.99 for the kindle version. |
