Nirvana Water Plans To Add 60 Jobs With Help Of Federal Loan
A bottled water manufacturer has received a federal loan that will help it expand, nearly doubling its production and adding an estimated 60 jobs to the region.
Nirvana Water of Boonville says it received the $4.3 million Small Business Administration loan with the help of U.S. Senator Charles Schumer.
The company says it sought the loan to buy new equipment so it could do more bottling and packaging in Oneida County rather than contracting those services elsewhere.
Moving these operations inside the Boonville facility will allow the company to expand production by eight million cases of bottled water each year.
Nirvana currently produces 12 million cases annually.
