No one was seriously hurt after a car rear-ended an Indian River School bus in the town of Pamelia early Thursday morning.

The eight students and the driver of the bus were uninjured.

The driver of the car, Jurgen Verne, 51, of Evans Mills was taken to Samaritan Medical Center. Verne told deputies his windshield fogged up when he turned on the heat.

Officials say the accident happened just before 6:30 a.m. on County Route 16 in the town of Pamelia, between Perch Lake Road and the Interstate 81 overpass.

The bus was on its way to the high school and had just picked up a student.
