North Country Sends Help To Flood-Ravaged Areas
People in the north country are helping their neighbors to the south who have been pounded by severe storms.
Over the past week the Mohawk Valley has seen some of its worst flooding in recent memory.
Flood waters damaged an estimated 2,200 and totaled 22 more.
The American Red Cross of Northern New York has sent volunteers to help with the cleanup effort.
"The north country has always been very supportive when there's a major, major disaster like a Hurricane Sandy and now there's flooding in our backyard, so we need to help those folks as well," said executive director Jane Gendron.
Anyone who wants to donate money or volunteer to help can call the Red Cross at 315-782-4410.
