Note To Our Viewers: DISH, WWNY Reach Agreement

WWNY-7 News and WNYF-Fox 28 are returning to the DISH network, after a 15 day absence.

DISH customers reported service was restored by 7 p.m. Friday evening.

WWNY/WNYF's parent company, United Communications Corp., reached agreement with DISH Friday, ending an impasse that resulted in the two stations being off DISH as of October 10.

No terms of the multi-year agreement were released.

"We are pleased to get back on DISH to provide area residents with local news, weather and sports as well as entertainment from the CBS and Fox networks," said Cathy M. Pircsuk, vice-president and general manager of the stations.
