Ogdensburg Advertises For New City ManagerOgdensburg's next city manager will be paid a starting salary between $80,000 to $95,000, according to the city's website. The city is seeking its sixth city manager. The job became vacant when Arthur Sciorra was fired over a housing controversy. Applications will be accepted through July 20. City officials say they'll pay relocation expenses for the new manager. The city's consulting firm, The Bonadio Group, will pre-screen applicants before providing the city council with a list of potential candidates. Ogdensburg officials hope to have the new manager on staff by fall. The job requires a bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or a related field, and at least five years’ experience "in a responsible management position." City Comptroller Phil Cosmo has been filling in until Sciorra's replacement is named. The posting says Cosmo is not a candidate for the job. See the full job description here. |
