Ogdensburg Wants New City Manager In Place By Sept. 1

Ogdensburg should have a new city manager by September 1 - at least that's the hope of city council members.

They've hired a Syracuse consulting firm to conduct the search.

The Bonadio Group will advertise for candidates and whittle the list down to about a dozen for the city council to consider.

"Watertown got 37 or 38 people. We hope to get the same number of people interested in our job," said Deputy Mayor Mike Morley.

The Bonadio Group will be paid up to $15,000 for the search.

Former City Manager Art Sciorra was forced out of the job in January.

City Comptroller Phil Cosmo has been serving as interim city manager.
