Oh, God! The Great Potato Chip Bag Cover-Up

Under a stick-on label, God is hiding out on potato chip bags at Jefferson Community College.

"Wow. It's a little harsh," said JCC student Ben Walseman.

The stick-ons have been added to all bags of State Fair brand potato chips in the JCC cafeteria.

Under the sticker, the bags say "God is Great...All the Time!"

The cafeteria began covering "God" up several weeks ago after several people complained.

The Faculty-Student Association, which is separate from the college, runs the cafeteria.

In a statement, its president, Jack Donato, said that after student government received a number of complaints, the supplier of the chips was contacted.

FSA staff selected the option where the vendor would place stickers on the bags.

But a cover-up of God leaves some students at a loss for words.

"Speechless. Just shell-shocked," said student John Korcz.

"Oh, God," said another student, Lahni Duffler.

And some wonder what it accomplishes.

"Because you can take the sticker off - it's still going to be there," said Lahni.

We couldn't reach State Fair Snacks for comment.

But not everybody is worked up over God being covered up.

As one student said, why don't they just get a different brand.

Donato said the State Fair brand potato chip is gluten-free and is good quality for the cost.
