One Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash

One man was sent to Samaritan Medical Center with cuts on his head after a two-vehicle accident just outside the city of Watertown Sunday afternoon.

Watertown police say 30-year-old Rosalie Mallon was driving east on State Route 3 when she crossed over the center line and hit another vehicle heading the other way.

The driver of that second vehicle, 19-year-old Nicholas Evans of Fernley, Nevada, was injured in the crash.

Police blame distracted driving for the accident, saying Mallon had been tending to a child in the car at the time.

She has been ticketed for failure to keep right and moving from lane unsafely.
