Democratic Congressional candidate Aaron Woolf has picked up the endorsement of the man he wants to succeed in the 21st District.

Woolf and Congressman Bill Owens took part in a jobs and small business tour through St. Lawrence and Franklin Countries Thursday.

Woolf says jobs, farming and agriculture as well as improving infrastructure throughout the north country region are among his key priorities.

Owens told 7 News he was backing Woolf's campaign for several reasons.

"He knows what's important and that's jobs and the economy. He's visiting with businesses to learn more so that he will be able to be an effective representative," said Owens.

"I'm focusing on my race and this is how we do it - going around talking to the voters, looking at businesses," said Woolf.

Meanwhile, Democratic Congressional candidate Stephen Burke of Macomb is awaiting a state Board of Elections decision to a challenge of his nominating petitions.
