Oxley Jurors Hear Testimony From Fatal Fire VictimTestimony continued in the Wayne Oxley murder trial in Canton Tuesday. Oxley, of Ogdensburg, is in his third trial in the beating death of his neighbor, Bernard Trickey. Jurors heard old court testimony from John Shannon. He's the man who died in a suspicious house fire a month after Trickey was killed with a baseball bat. Shannon's testimony indicated Oxley was mad at Trickey over a bad drug deal. Oxley claims Shannon killed Trickey or at least knew who did. Oxley's first conviction was overturned by a higher court. His second trial ended in a hung jury. Testimony resumes Wednesday. |
