Oxley Will File $13M Lawsuit For Wrongful ProsecutionWayne Oxley, who was found not guilty of murder during his third trial, says he will file a $13 million lawsuit against the state for wrongful prosecution and imprisonment. "I'll probably never have closure," he said. Now that he has been acquitted, Oxley plans to seek upwards of $13 million in damages for lost income, humiliation, personal freedoms and family contact for the time he sat behind bars - all for a crime he repeatedly has said he never committed in the first place. "I think the sham of the first trial and the wrongdoing by the officials during that trial will show that," he said. |
