Police Investigating Counterfeit Money In CantonCanton village police are warning local merchants to be on the lookout for counterfeit money after two bogus bills were passed at local merchants Thursday. Police say an individual used a fake $20 bill to pay for a Trailways bus ticket at the Partridge Cafe, which serves as the local bus station. Also that day, Community Bank on Main Street took in a $10 counterfeit bill. The FBI is being notified and police say surveillance cameras at the bank may be used to help the investigation. |
