Police: 'Ongoing Investigation' Into Baby Death
Watertown police have an "ongoing investigation" into the death of seven month old child earlier this month.
Detective Sergeant Joe Donoghue told 7 News Monday that city police and the Child Protective Services section of the Department of Social Services are investigating the death of Zoey Ryor, who died in a Syracuse hospital on October 2.
Sergeant Donoghue declined to further characterize the death, but said the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's office was involved in the investigation, and the Jefferson County district attorney's office has been informed of the investigation.
An ambulance crew was summoned to 622 Davidson Street on September 29 for what police described at the time as a "medical emergency." Ryor was taken to a Syracuse hospital.
Funeral services for Ryor were held last weekend.
