Police Say Man Lied About Check ForgeryA Hammond man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly told police someone had forged his name on his checks. St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies say 54 year old William Decarr had actually signed the checks himself and received the cash. Decarr was charged with falsely reporting an incident and was issued a ticket to appear in Hammond town court at a later date. |
