Police Say Men Trespassed To Take Scrap Metal From Private Property

Five are men were charged with trespassing Monday after they were allegedly caught on private land in the town of Theresa.

Jefferson County sheriff deputies say the men were there to remove scrap metal without the owner's permission.

Ticketed were 27 year old Rush Reynolds, 37 year old James Cook and 26 year old Dustin Countryman, all of Theresa, and 32 year old Jeremy Prashaw and 29 year old Phillip Roberts, both of Richville.

The property, police say, is located off State Route 411 and is owned by Asla, Inc. of Hazlehurst, Georgia.
