Police Seize Drugs, Cash In Early Morning Raid

Two people were arrested following a raid in Watertown early Thursday during which police seized nearly $3,500 worth of drugs and another $3,700 in cash.

Officials with the Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force say they executed a search warrant at around 5:15 a.m. at the South Meadow Street home of 17 year old Drew Schroy.
Along with the cash, police say they seized 21 bags of heroin worth $450, 6 grams of bulk heroin valued at $1,500, 14 grams of powdered cocaine worth $1,400, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Also at the apartment was 19 year old Miguel Paredes of the Bronx. Police say Paredes had an illegal stun gun with him.
Schroy was charged with two counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and Paredes was charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Both were arraigned in Watertown city court. Schroy's bail was set at $10,000 and bail for Paredes was set at $500.
They were both in county jail late Thursday morning.
