Potsdam Rallies To Send Relief Supplies To Sandy Victims
A large tractor-trailer set up in Potsdam was filling up with donated emergency relief supplies for those living in the hurricane-ravaged New York City area.
Several Potsdam business owners have teamed up to collect donations of supplies for downstate hurricane victims.
Everything from generators, heat sources, blankets, sweaters and coats to cleaning supplies and canned food have been dropped off at the parking lot behind Bicknell's Appliance and Home Interiors store.
Organizers say the outpouring of community support has been overwhelming.
"We've got lots of businesses, lots of organizations, lots of individuals who drop off small bags, pickup trucks full -- it's been great so far," he said.
