A Potsdam woman faces one to 15 years in prison after admitting she was driving drunk when she struck and killed a pedestrian walking along May Road in Potsdam last year.

Laurel Randall pleaded guilty to felony first degree vehicular manslaughter in St. Lawrence County Court in a plea bargain with the district attorney's office. She was indicted last year on eight charges.

After the 45 year old Randall struck and killed 59 year old Fuli Wu on March 30, she left the scene of the fatality and attempted to hide her vehicle.

She allegedly parked her car in a friend's garage.

Stephen Coates also faced tampering with evidence charges for helping Randall hide her car in his garage.

Coates pleaded guilty in St. Lawrence County Court Tuesday to a misdemeanor charge of attempted tampering with physical evidence.

Randall is free on probation supervision until her sentencing May 5.
