In Potsdam, village residents have defeated a proposal to dissolve the village.

With all Potsdam districts reporting, the proposal was defeated 687 to 334.

In other races in Potsdam, Steve Yurgartis is the new mayor, winning over Sharon Hutchinson 743 to 255.

Eleanor Hopke and former Mayor Reinhold "Ron" Tischler are the top vote-getters for the two available village trustee seats.
