Randy Travis In Critical Condition


Country music star Randy Travis has been hospitalized in Texas with viral cardiomyopathy.
A news release from the singer's publicist says Travis was admitted to the hospital Sunday in Dallas. 

No other details were released.
The "Three Wooden Crosses" singer is listed in critical condition.
Viral cardiomyopathy is a heart condition caused by a virus.

Travis is the replacement show for George Jones in the Disabled Persons Action Organization's summer concert series.
Travis agreed to perform in Watertown after Jones died on April 26. 
DPAO officials were not immediately available comment on Travis' hospitalization.
Travis is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. on August 3 at the Watertown Fairgrounds Arena.
