Renewal House Honors Former Canton Police ChiefA full house turned out to honor retired Canton Police Chief Alan Mulkin for his years of responding to the needs of victims of domestic violence. Mulkin is member of the agency's board of directors and was responsible for initiating domestic violence training for the law enforcement community in St. Lawrence County. Renewal House is celebrating it's 30th year of assisting battered victims and is now also providing help to victims of sexual assault and abuse. "Our goal is continued growth, more education, further development of staff and boar, greater funding, and new partnerships, said Renewal House president Natasha Hill, "so we can reach even more victims in years to come." |
