Retro Xmas Tree Sparkles At City Hall

It's a retro Christmas at Watertown City Hall.

There's an aluminum Christmas tree on display, which dates back to the 1960's, when anything with a space-age look was all the rage.

The tree is on loan to the City Clerk's Office from Mayor Jeff Graham.

He bought it from one of his radio show listeners and found out it has a local connection.

"In the box it came in, it actually had the label on it. It said Weston's Shoppers City, which of course people who have lived in Watertown a while know that that was a discount store on Arsenal Street. So, it was bought in Watertown," said Graham.

The public is invited into the City Clerk's Office anytime during business hours to see this iconic reminder of Christmases gone by.
