'Roman Temple' Built In Beaver Falls

There's a masterpiece on display in Lewis County, but you'll need to see it before it melts.

Beaver River teacher Gene Sundberg built a replica of a Roman temple in his front yard using just snow and ice.

It took him 200 hours to build the 9 foot tall structure.  

If you look closely you can see an inscription that reads "all roads lead to Rome." 

Sundberg says the sculpture caught the interest of his 6th grade Social Studies students.

He hopes, maybe next year, they'll get involved.

"You can learn so much about thinking outside the box - getting snow and ice to do things that it really isn't supposed to do," said Sundberg.

The sculpture is on Hilltop Road in Beaver Falls.

You can go check it out as long as the temperatures stay cold!
