Rossie Trailer Destroyed by Fire

A mobile home in Rossie went up in flames Sunday morning and authorities say it's beyond saving.

Firefighters responded to the trailer at 112 Barker Road in Rossie just after midnight Sunday.  Investigators report a faulty lamp in the living room caused the fire.

Stephen and Alena Robinson along with three children lived in the home.  A press release from the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's department says one male occupant was taken to the hospital for observation of respiratory problems.

Wes Belmore of Rochester is listed as the owner of the property.

The Gouverneur fire department spent four hours at the scene early Sunday morning.  The Red Cross was called to assist the family.  Belmore is listed as having no insurance in the press release and the Robinsons apparently did have insurance.
