Rotarians Hand Out 500 Books To Local Students

If you ask a child what's the best way to become a better reader, they'll probably tell you to keep reading.

That's the inspiration behind the Rotary Reads Program.

The Watertown Evening Rotary Club visited North Elementary School Thursday morning and handed out boxes and boxes of books.

Each student will get one book to delve into.

"As you grow and learn throughout life, reading is a great way to exercise your brain," said Watertown Evening Rotary Club President Brandy Lucas.

Altogether, the club handed out 504 books.
