One Dead, 2 Injured in Accident in St. Lawrence CountyA 36 year old Massena man was killed Thursday in an accident on Route 56 between Raymondville and Massena.
State police said 36 year old Michael Hunter of Massena died after the crash. Witnesses told 7 News that Hunter's car was trying to pass another vehicle, which was turning into a driveway. The car lost control on some ice, slid across the road and was broadsided by an oncoming vehicle. Hunter was unconscious and unresponsive when emergency crews arrived. Paramedics performed CPR on Hunter before he was transported to Massena Memorial Hospital. State police said Hunter suffered massive trauma. The people who were in the oncoming vehicle, 62 year old Micki Nesbitt, and his wife, Shirley, of Colton, were taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
