North country Assemblywoman Addie Russell wants more state aid for north country schools.
She is re-introducing what's called the School Funding Equity Act.
Right now, Russell says too much state aid goes to a handful of school districts.
"The formula has been tweaked and adjusted to drive money to school districts that do not need it," said Russell (D. - 116th District).
The same bill failed in Albany last year.
Russell thinks it has a better chance this time around because of the Republican and Democratic coalition that now controls the state Senate.
