SUNY Potsdam Professor Honored

There is no one who gets more shaken up and excited about earthquakes than SUNY Potsdam Geology Professor Emeritus Dr. Frank Revetta.

Now, he's received the 2012 Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of Geoscience Teachers eastern section.

Revetta has been gathering and studying earthquake data since coming to SUNY Potsdam in the early 1960's, where he founded the college's seismology network.

Since that time, he has repeatedly involved his students in his research.
