SUNY Potsdam Student Faces Child Pornography Charges

A 24 year old SUNY Potsdam student is accused possessing and promoting child pornography.

Potsdam police charged Colin Baxter of Washingtonville, New York, with felony counts of promoting and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child.

Village police, working with the Department of Homeland Security, seized several computer items and electronic storage devices from Baxter's Bay Street home.

Officials said they found multiple sexually explicit pictures and videos of children under the age of 16.

Baxter was arraigned in Potsdam Village Court, where his bail was set at $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
