Salvation Army Red Kettles to Hit the Streets
They're an iconic part of the holidays, the Salvation Army bell-ringers. And now the ringing of the bells marks the start of this year's holiday campaign at the Salvation Army. It was a celebration complete with a full breakfast of pancakes and eggs. Even our own Mel Busler was there. He's this year's honorary chair of the holiday campaign. "The bell-ringers next to the kettle, it's as common as Santa Clause is this time of the year," said Busler. "Its nice to have the opportunity to be support this type of organization and a be part of it." The Salvation Army encourages anyone interested in volunteering, to call the Watertown office at 315-782-4470.
