Saturday: Accident Sends O'burg Woman To Syracuse Hospital

An Ogdensburg woman was taken by helicopter to Upstate University hospital in Syracuse with head and neck injuries, after her car was struck from behind.

St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies issued a report on the accident Saturday morning, and listed the accident as having occured early Saturday.

Deputies said MaryJo Montana, 48, of 815 Lake Street, was turning off county route 6 onto Simms Camp Road in the Town of Oswegatchie when a vehicle driven by Lloyd V. Lennox, 53 Tallman Road, Ogdensurg, struck her from behind.

The Montana vehicle spun around and went off the road - Montana was sent to Upstate, and a passenger in her vehicle, Darin A. King, 51, of Simms Camp Road, was taken to Claxton-Hepburn Hospital with neck pains. So was Lennox, who was charged with driving while intoxicated and following too close.
