Saturday: Protect, Serve...And ShopThe Jefferson County Sheriff's Department's annual 'Shop With A Cop' program was held Saturday. 40 young people got Walmart gift cards, and a chance to shop - for themselves or family - with help from sheriff's deputies and other law enforcement and emergency personnel. The program has turned into a tradition. "A lot of these children wouldn't have a Christmas if it wasn't for this program that we started," said Sheriff John Burns. And after the shopping trip? A pizza party at Sam's Club.
