Saturday: Detectives Probe Shots Fired In LeRayJefferson County Sheriff's detectives are investigating shots fired near Patricia Drive and Twin Oaks Drive in the Town of LeRay late Friday night. In a statement Saturday, detectives said several rounds were fired at a "business sign" at 10:45 pm Friday, and "two of which passed through the sign and struck an occupied residence, with one round penetrating a wall and coming to rest inside." The sign belonged to Davidson's Motel. The bullets hit a home behind the motel. "The shooting likely occured from a moving vehicle," the release notes. Presumably no one was injured, since the release makes no mention of a bullet striking anyone. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff's department at 788-1441 and reference file #13S002881 or submit an anonymous tip here. |
