Saturday: Fatal Motorcycle Accident ProbedA Town of Watertown man was charged after an accident Friday night that killed a motorcyclist. State police charged Kristian M. Loftus, 35, of Hadcock Road, with vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right. Loftus posted $2500 bail. Loftus was almost home whe allegedly went into the other lane and hit a motorcycle driven by Richard S. Sample, 52, who also lived on Hadcock Road. Sample died at the scene of the accident. The accident happened a little before 8 pm. Hadcock Road was closed for a time while the accident was investigated. |
