Saturday: More Than 700 Graduate From Clarkson
Clarkson University held its 119th commencement Saturday, graduating more than 700 students.
The students came from 28 states, 19 countries and almost every county in New York state, and were granted bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.
We spoke with a few of the students as they got ready to receive their diplomas. As you'd expect, they were delighted to have made it to the end.
"I've been really working hard to get here, and I'm just really excited to be graduating today," said Libby Kamen.
"I have a job and I'm ready to go out and show people what I can do," said Kristina Gilbert.
For Jasmine Gifford, Saturday was especially sweet. She's the first person in her family to graduate from college.
"I feel like I'm being a good role model for my sister," she said. "She's 15 and soon, in a couple of years, it's gonna be her turn."
