Tools

It snowed in northern New York Friday, and kept snowing Saturday in many places.

Watertown didn't get all that much, about three inches, and neither did Massena, with two inches and Ogdensburg, with four inches.

But if you were in Colton, you saw 10 inches of snow. And Beaver River and Star Lake each reported eight inches.

We talked to a handful of people Saturday morning in downtown Watertown They were cheered by the snow.

"I'm a firm believer in that it needs to be white for Christmas," said Lonnie Bell.

To which John Law added, "It's weird, having a green Christmas."

More snow is in the forecast for Lewis County Sunday, where a lake effect snow advisory is in effect.
