"Seizure Alert Dogs For Life" Clients Getting Money Back

By Scott Atkinson

The South Colton man accused of selling seizure alert dogs that don't perform is making refunds, according to his attorney.

The State Attorney General's Office is looking into the company operated by Jon Sabin, called "Seizure Alert Dogs for Life".

A number of Sabin's clients around the country say they paid thousands of dollars for dogs that did not come to their aid when they had a seizure, as they were supposed to be trained to do. (Click here to see our earlier coverage.)

Sabin's attorney claims that when the dogs don't work out, those clients are getting their money back.

"There's a very lengthy contract for these animals. He says he's complied with every single one of them which contain a refund procedure, and if they've asked for refunds, they've been paid," said David Antonucci, Sabin's attorney.

Antonucci says the attorney general's office has subpoenaed some of Sabin's materials, but he is still deciding whether to provide them because they could be proprietary or privileged.
