Sherman School Students Raise Funds for Alzheimer's Association

They've been working for change since March and it finally paid off on Tuesday.

Students at Sherman Elementary School donated $906 worth of change they raised to the Alzheimer's Association.

The idea for the fundraiser came from a set of triplets at the school.

Their grandmother has Alzheimer's disease and they wanted to help find a cure.

"The fact that they came up with it is a silver lining to a really sad, sad disease. So, I'm really proud of them," said Stephanie Widrick, mother of the triplets.

The students celebrated the final day of fundraising with a walk around the block.
