Snow Ridge Enjoying The Snow

Some areas got pounded with snow Wednesday and there's at least one place that couldn't be happier.

At Snow Ridge Ski Resort in Turin, 23 inches of snow fell.

With school kids on break and looking for some outdoor fun, it added up to the perfect storm. 

Resort officials say Wednesday was their strongest day this winter. 

"People managed to stay out and they loved it," said Brad Horn, assistant manager.

"We had a ton of powder. It was a beautiful day," said ski instructor Bonnie Sanderson.

With things a little calmer Thursday, some kids from as far away as Buffalo visited Snow Ridge to get their first taste of skiing. 

Officials say with all the snow, conditions should be great right through the weekend.
